Pitlochry and Moulin Community Council Agenda – Extraordinary Meeting, July 2022

The Pitlochry and Moulin Community Council are holding an Extraordinary Meeting, to discuss the proposed extraction of timber from Ballyoukan Forest and the route the timber trucks will take. The Community Council aims to address which extraction route is the least damaging to the community at this meeting. At least seven routes and possibly eight or nine are being considered.

The meeting will be held at the Atholl Centre, Pitlochry, on Wednesday, 13th of July, between 2:00 pm and 4:00pm. Residents may also join the meeting via Zoom, using the details below:

Scottish Forestry and Scottish Woodlands will not be attending this meeting, and the Community Council will instead be meeting with them on the 26th of July to put forward any questions from residents.

  2. Declarations of Interest. 
  3. Statement by the Community Council:
    “The First purpose of this meeting is to allow all of our community to reach a common understanding of the situation.
    The Second Purpose is to gather and agree questions to be asked at a Second Extraordinary Meeting on the 26th of July at which Scottish Woodlands, Scottish Forestry and Perth Council Will Attend.
    The intention is a sequential list of questions will be agreed and who will read them out.
    The chair will insist that the agreed order of questioning will be respected on the 26th.
    All questions submitted on the 13th will be forwarded to all parties in advance to allow Scottish Woodlands , Scottish Forestry and PKC to be prepared to answer.
    If any time remains after the agreed questions are answered on the 26th other questions may be asked.”
  4. Submission of questions from the floor. All questions must be directed to the chair and all persons must raise their hands to request the opportunity to speak.
