The Perth and Kinross Council is closing a road in Pitlochry this week so they can get in for resurfacing works.
Starting from today (November 1), they’ll be closing off the East Moulin Road for a week while the team works on resurfacing the road.
A spokesperson for the Perth and Kinross Council explained: “The carriageway resurfacing will commence tomorrow Monday 1 November 2021 and will take up to 1 week to complete, weather dependant.
“Unfortunately, due to the nature of the carriageway works and available road space, a full road closure is required. This is to enable the works to be carried out as safely and efficiently as possible. A signed diversion via East Moulin Road – Atholl Road – West Moulin Road will be in place.”
The road closure is happening between the Scout Hut and where East Moulin Road meets with Higher Oakfield Road.
The Perth and Kinross Council’s spokesperson added: “Access to properties within the closure extents will be maintained only when the works allow, and it is safe to do so but there may be delays during the works.
“Emergency service vehicle access will always be maintained and on waste collections days, please present your bin as normal.”
