The Perth and Kinross Council and SSEN are working to support communities across Highland Perthshire, and the rest of Perth and Kinross, who are out of power.

A spokesperson for the Perth and Kinross Council said: “There are still more than 1500 properties in Perth and Kinross without power after Storm Arwen.

“We have staff out to support residents and communities that still have no power.

“If anyone or their neighbour needs our support then please call our Customer Contact Centre on 0345 30 111 00.

“SSEN will reimburse reasonable costs for alternative accommodation and food for those who are still without power and who cannot make other arrangements.

“If you’re unable to access their welfare facilities for free hot food and drinks can also claim the cost of takeaways or meals from local establishments, up to £15 per person.

“Please keep your receipts in order to obtain reimbursement.”
