Funding Available For Local Charity Projects From Ansvar

Charities across Perth and Kinross, who are running projects that will have a positive impact on their local community,  have the opportunity to win a share of £25,000 as part of a community campaign.

The campaign is being run by the charity insurer Ansvar who have insured charities, churches, and voluntary groups for over 60 years. The winners of the campaign will be decided by a judging panel who will be looking for projects that are about to begin or that are already underway.

Managing Director at Ansvar, Sarah Cox, said: “These are tough times for many charities, so we’re delighted to announce our search for three registered charities to benefit from a £25,000 prize pot.

“We know how much that money will mean to projects being run across the country and the judges are particularly keen to receive entries that provide a detailed outline of how the money would be spent.”

The prize pot will be split among three projects with the overall winner receiving £15,000 and the other two charities receiving £5,000 each. Applications for funding opened on Monday,6th of March and will close on Monday, 17th of April with the winners being announced by Wednesday, 31st of May.

To apply, charities will need to fill in an online form and explain in 500 words or less why their project deserves one of the prizes. In order to apply, charities must be registered and have a charity number.

Sarah Cox went on to say: “We’ve been insuring charitable organisations at the heart of the community for a long time and giving back to the community is an important part of what we do.

“So, we’re really looking forward to hearing from a wide breadth of charities and learning how they could benefit from this funding boost. We strongly urge any eligible charities in need of funding to submit an application.”
