Aberfeldy Rugby Club will be running a October Rugby Camps from the 18th to 22nd, and will be holding the sessions at Wades Park in Aberfeldy.
The sessions will be split up by age group, with sessions for Primary 1-3 running on the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 9am until 12:30pm, with sessions for Primary 4-7 also running on the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday but from 1pm until 4.30pm. The sessions for Secondary 1-6 will be running on the Thursday and Friday from 9am until 12:30pm.
Aberfeldy RFC Development officer Gregor Ross explains that “you do not need to be a rugby player to come along. You can be the best rugby player for your age, or you can literally have never touched a rugby ball in your life. So, the sessions are going to be structured to work on skills, catching, passing, running and basically fun skills related games that are appropriate for rugby and relevant to rugby but certainly you do not need to be a rugby player to play.”
A wet weather plan is in place, to make sure that the sessions can continue to run if it is raining.
Anyone who is interested in signing their children up for the rugby camp can get in touch with Aberfeldy RFC via their Facebook page or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
The club will continue to run their weekly Sunday sessions throughout the October break. These sessions run from 10am till 1pm, with Primary 1-3 sessions from 10am till 11am, Primary 4-7 sessions from 11am till 12pm and Secondary 1-6 from 12pm to 1pm.
The club also hold Tartan Touch every Tuesday from 5:30pm to 6:30pm, which is Touch Rugby for all ages.
