How the Local Election Ballot Paper Will Look

Residents of Highland Perthshire go to the polls on Thursday 5th of May to cast their vote for who will represent them on the Perth and Kinross council for the next five years.

This Election will use a number system, with voters able to rank candidates in order of preferred candidate. All candidates for your ward will be listed on the ballot and you can order them using 1, 2, 3 and so on for as many or few candidates as you want.

You don’t have to number all the candidates and if you make a mistake, you can ask for a new ballot sheet.

In the Highland Ward there are eight candidates standing and in the Strathtay Ward there are five. A full list is available on the local election page of our website.
