Aberfeldy RFC are continuing their continued development of rugby in Highland Perthshire by starting disability rugby sessions in conjunction with Perth and Kinross Disability Sport.

The sessions will be running for four Sunday from 12:30 to 1:30pm starting from the 1st of May 2022.

Aberfeldy RFC development officer Gregor Ross explains why Aberfeldy RFC have partnered with Perth and Kinross Disability to run these sessions: “we’re running these sessions because we have a strong belief at the club that sport and rugby should be open to everyone in the community. So, the idea is to put these sessions on and to get people involved in the sport and if they want to take a little bit further then it’s absolutely fantastic and it’s something we’d love to support them to do.”

The sessions are a part of Perth and Kinross Disability Sport’s Highland Perthshire Disability Sport Opportunities project, which in partnership with Aberfeldy Plus is aiming to support and increase the number of opportunities for people of all ages with disabilities to participate in sport and physical activities in a safe, secure and appropriate environment.

No rugby knowledge or experience is needed and there is no cost to participate in the sessions.
