Glenearn Badminton Juniors Return to Training with New Kit

On Monday the Glenearn Badminton Juniors returned to their weekly training sessions at the Perth College Sports Campus following their summer break.

Upon their return each of the Juniors was issued with a new branded training top at no charge thanks to financial assistance from the Arnold Clark Community Fund.

Speaking about the new training kit Club President and Juniors Coach, Frazer Robertson, said: “Often the work of a committee is behind the scenes working on aspects of general governance and housekeeping.

“On this occasion we get to see the fruits of our labour and there was no better reward for our work, when we saw the pure joy and excitement among our Juniors when issuing the new tops.

“We are hugely appreciative of the financial support from Arnold Clark which has made a lot of young people very happy and feel part of the wider badminton family we strive to create at our club.”

The new aqua colour was chosen by the Juniors who were asked before the summer and collectively opted for the vibrant colour.

Club Treasurer and fellow Juniors Coach, Ross Paterson, added: “Our committee worked to establish our ‘Club Values’ last year and is committed to ensure that our pricing strategy is inclusive of everyone regardless of financial status.

“Our Juniors training sessions are priced at just £1 for primary school age and £2 for those at secondary school; our offering is very competitive and importantly accessible to all. Being in a position to offer all of our Junior members a free training top was yet another example of how we are trying to make small improvements ensuring no one is left behind.”

The Glenearn Badminton Juniors meet every Monday evening at Perth College Sports Campus from 6:45pm till 7:45pm.

Training is open to those aged nine to 17 years old, with the first session free and all required equipment provided by the club.
