The Aberfeldy Sports Club (TASC) are continuing the progress towards the construction of a new multi-sport clubhouse, which will be situated on the site of the current golf clubhouse overlooking the River Tay.
To date the charitable trust have received two substantial funding offers to help build and operate the multi-sports clubhouse and community wellbeing hub, with the grants from the Griffin & Calliachar Community Fund and the Gannochy Trust total £500,00.
The Sports Club are still waiting to hear for a number of grants as they look to raise the other £500,000 needed to complete the building and the plans for their new building have been submitted to the Perth and Kinross Council Planning Department, with the club working with the department.
The clubhouse will include changing rooms, showers, toilets, a bar and restraint, a private meeting room and the scope to host lifestyle and wellbeing activities such as yoga. It will be open to all those involved in sporting and physical activities as well as those who just want to enjoy a drink and conversation after a riverside walk or while walking the River Tay Way.
