A9 Traffic Management Changes at Bankfoot in Perth

A9 road users are advised to approach with care as a new traffic management layout north of Bankfoot, Perth, will be in place from 25 August 2020.

As part of the next phase of traffic management on the A9 Dualling: Luncarty to Pass of Birnam Project, a new temporary crossover will be in place north of the existing Bankfoot North junction and A9 traffic will be guided to switch onto a new section of the carriageway.

Access to Bankfoot for southbound traffic will be maintained, and the temporary speed limits and ‘no overtaking’ restrictions will remain in place throughout the works. Road users are being urged to follow the signage on the approach to this area as the traffic management layout will change from the 25 August.

To facilitate these traffic management alterations, two-way temporary traffic signals will be required on the A9 overnight from 18 – 20 and 24th August 2020, between Bankfoot North and Gellywood, from 19:30hrs to 06:00hrs.

Following the switch, traffic will remain in a single carriageway arrangement throughout the works and road users are reminded to adhere to the speed limits and ‘no overtaking’ restrictions which will be maintained at all times.
