LISTEN: Louise Fisher shares why the group is so crucial to the community
Families in Highland Perthshire looking to stock up on a new wardrobe or some toys have the opportunity this weekend to come along to a sale organised by Blair Atholl Baby & Toddler Group.
Representative of Blair Atholl Baby and Toddler Group, Louise Fisher, said:
“We are very lucky to have had a lot of donations for a sale in Blair Atholl village hall.
“We’ve got a lot of clothes from tiny baby all the way up to age 12.
“We also have maternity wear, we’ve had travel systems have been handed in so pram, car seat – things like that. Lots and lots of goodies for everyone. Books, board games, anything like that. You name it, we’ve got it.
As well as items to stock up for little ones the sale will have tea, coffee and cake so all are welcome to come along and shop to support the Baby & Toddler Group.
The group behind the organisation of the bake sale is a key resource to parents and carers in the Highland Perthshire community who may at times feel isolated. The group provides somewhere to go.
“It’s a great thing within the local community. We are quite isolated here…so having somewhere to go where the little ones can interact with one another and parents and carers, grandparents can sit down for five minutes and get a cup of tea and catch up – it’s really important especially in the busy daily life of having little ones it’s nice having that time to relax for a little while.”
The sale takes place on Saturday 24th July from 10am-2pm in Blair Atholl Village Hall and all are welcome.
