Businesses in Highland Perthshire Nominated for Prestigious Award

Several companies in Highland Perthshire are receiving recognition after being nominated for VisitScotland’s Scottish Thistle Awards.

This year’s shortlist for the Central, Fife & Tayside Regional Finals includes Craigmhor Lodge & Courtyard and Croft N Coille B&B and Self-Catering Cottage both in Pitlochry, who are shortlisted in the Best B&B or Guest House Experience category.

Steven Walker, Chair of the Scottish Thistle Awards industry panel, said: “Now more than ever, the Scottish Thistle Awards present an opportunity to showcase tourism as a force for good, helping to ensure that tourism is recognised for the positive impact it brings to the country.

“The Scottish Thistle Awards have attracted entries from right across the country, with every one of the shortlisted regional finalists demonstrating a commitment to innovative, collaborative and sustainable practices that are helping to support the recovery of our valuable tourism and events industry.”

Other Highland Perthshire based businesses on the shortlist include, Aberfeldy based Beyond Adventure in the Outdoor or Adventure experience category, Thyme Deli and Bistro at Errichel in Aberfeldy for the Food Tourism Award and June Goodfellow from Taste Perthshire in Bankfoot, who is shortlisted for the Tourism & Hospitality Hero Award.

The awards shine a light on Scottish businesses and the people who work within the industry which contributes £11.5 billion towards the Scottish economy.

The regional finalists will now come head-to-head with competition from other tourism businesses and events in their area at the Central, Fife & Tayside Regional Final which takes place at Prestonfield House in Edinburgh on Thursday 27th of October 2022.
