
The By-Election process and notice of election for the Pitlochry and Moulin Community Council has been revealed by Perth and Kinross Council.
The Pitlochry and Moulin Community Council entered abeyance at the end of January following the resignation of four of the five elected members, leaving the council without the minimum five members needed for the council to operate.
A By-Election will now be held on Thursday 20th of April 2023 with 8 Community Councillor positions open.
Nominations are now open for candidates, with the window for nominations closing at 4pm on Thursday 16th of March 2023. Anyone wishing to stand must be at least 16 years of age, reside in the community council area and be named on the electoral register for the community council area.
Candidates must also receive a proposer and seconder who must all be on the electoral register and reside in the same community council area. Candidates must submit the completed nomination form, together with a 50 word statement.
Registration Forms and supporting statements can be sent via post to Returning Officer at 2 High Street, Perth, PH1 5PH or via email to communitycouncils@pkc.gov.uk all forms must be returned by the deadline of 4pm on Thursday 16th of March 2023.
