
A second consultation event for the proposed extension of the Erigmore Leisure Park will take place tomorrow, the 29th of September at Erigmore House.
Member of the public are invited to the drop-in event from 3pm until 7pm and give their views on the proposal.
The proposal will see the site expand into the land to the east of the site, with a change of use for the land allowing it to be used as a caravan park. The land which is approximately three hectares is size will see an additional 76 lodges built in planning is approved.
Access to the site will be provided via a new access path connecting to the existing leisure park or via the existing arrangements at Woodville for vehicles.
The plans include a landscaping and planting scheme to provide both landscape and biodiversity enhancements. It is not proposed to feel any existing trees as part of the development.
A Planning Application Notice was submitted in July, with Tetra Tech holding the first consultation events early this month with around 50 people attending and taking part in the consultation.
As well as the consultation, a series of supporting works have been commissioned including, a Topographical Survey, Transport Assessment, Flood Risk and Drainage Assessment and a Phase 1 Ecological Survey incorporated alongside a Habitat Regulation Assessment (Bat and Squirrel survey)
