Final Report and Local Flood Risk Management Plan for Tay District Published

The Final Report and Local Flood Risk Management (FRM) Plan for the Tay district have been published by Perth and Kinross Council.

The Final Report and Local FRM Plans have been developed in partnership with SEPA, Scottish Water, other local authorities, the National Park Authorities, Scottish Forestry and Forestry and Land Scotland, with the Final Report setting out the progress made in Implementing the actions in the Local FRM Plan for 2016 to 2022.

In December 2021, SEPA published an updated copy of their Flood Risk Management Plans, with the plans covering the period from 2021 to 2027 and outlining the actions that will be used to manage flood risk in each district across Scotland and in particular the Potentially Vulnerable Areas.

The Local Flood Risk Management Plans supplement SEPA’s plans and provide additional information on the timescale and delivery of the actions within each potentially vulnerable area, for the period of 2022 till 2028.

Through the publication of these plans residents and businesses, who may not be aware of any potential flood risk to their home or business, can learn more about the flood risk, its impact on their local area and what action will be taken to minimise the impact and risk.
