Grandtully Roadworks Scheduled this Coming Week

The Perth and Kinross Council are planning to close the Pitnacree Bridge, which sits above the River Tay and leads over the river into Grandtully.

They will be closing the bridge between 09:15 to 15:00 from this coming Monday (14 February) for ‘a period of two weeks.’

A spokesperson for the Perth and Kinross Council explained: “The order will temporarily prohibit all vehicles from driving and temporarily suspend parking and loading (on both sides) of the following roads:

“The A827 from its junction with the C447 to its junction with the private access leading to the property known as Cromdale at Strathtay (291460, 753312), a distance of 1.53 kilometres or thereby.

“The B898 from its junction with the A827 (292473, 753248) to its junction with the private access leading to the property known as Haugh of Grandtully Farm (292471, 753244), a distance of 182.37 metres or thereby.”

Before work on the bridge starts, the council will also be resurfacing a stretch of the road leading up to the bridge (the A827).

They’ll be stopping ‘all vehicles from driving and temporarily suspend parking while they carry out these works between 09:15 to 15:00 from this Monday (7 February) for ‘a period of three weeks.’

The Perth and Kinross Council spokesperson said: “The order will temporarily prohibit all vehicles from driving and temporarily suspend parking and loading (on both sides) of the A827 from its junction with the private access leading to the property known as Wester Logierait (295918, 752469) to its junction with the private access leading to the property known as Knockintober (294803, 752738), a distance of 1.14 kilometres or thereby.”

While both of these works are underway pedestrian & emergency vehicular access to premises will be maintained.
