Killin Highland Games Returns after Covid Absence

The Killin Highland Games will return this Wednesday, the 3rd of August, for their 26th games after a two-year absence caused by the Covid-19 Pandemic.

The games which take place in Breadalbane Park, celebrated their 25th anniversary in 2019, and will return with an action-packed day featuring heavy event, piping, dancing and their popular 3km amateur hill race.

Clare Rudd is one of the committee members for the Killin Highland Games and has been speaking about  how they feel about the games returning, saying they’re: “really, really looking forward to. It’s been a long time coming.

“I believe the committee tried to put plans in place for events, in the hope that lockdown would have eased but the decision was made ultimately that it would have been safter to just postpone the games, until it was safe for everybody to attend. So, yeah, we’re really excited to be hosting the games again this year.”
