The Aberfeldy Development Trust are launching with a meeting tonight (Monday 9th May) at the Locus Centre from 7:30pm.
The Aberfeldy Development Trust is being established to support the creation of affordable and sustainable houses for the people of Aberfeldy and the surrounding districts. It will also seek to provide opportunities to young people and families to be able to grow, live and work in housing that is warm, affordable and secure.
Adam Hobson who is one of the organisers of the meeting speaking about the meeting said: “We are holding a meeting at the Aberfeldy Locus Centre to create a steering group who will help guide the Aberfeldy Development Trust.
“We would welcome anyone who has an interest in supporting affordable housing in our community to come along and share your views. There will be representatives attending from Perth and Kinross Housing along with members of the Aberfeldy Community Council and the Development Trust Association Scotland, who will be advising on the benefits of creating a development trust for the local community.”
