New Perth Wildlife Watch Group launches Next Weekend With a Children’s Activity Morning

All children aged eight to 12 in Perth and Kinross are being invited to a free fun outdoors event at the South Inch in Perth on Saturday, 12th of November 2022, from 10am till 12 noon.

The fun-filled morning of outdoor activities which is being hosted by the new Perth Wildlife Watch group, includes an autumn scavenger hunt and follow the animal leader game.

Catherine Leatherland, PKCT’s Discovery, Learning and Engagement Officer, said: “We are so excited to welcome children along to have some great outdoor fun as part of the new Perth Wildlife Watch group.

“We’ll support our new volunteer leaders, who will lead the children in a variety of activities each month to get them interested in wildlife and nature while having a lot of fun. Each month’s event will have a different relevant wildlife or seasonal theme, to make sure there’s something new and exciting for the children to experience at all times of year.”

The new Perth Wildlife Watch Group, part of the Scottish Wildlife Trust’s nationwide network of children’s nature clubs, will take place on the second Saturday of each month for children in and around Perth to enjoy getting outside, learning about nature and wildlife, developing new skills, and making new friends.

Perth Wildlife Watch is being launched by local environmental charity Perth and Kinross Countryside Trust (PKCT) and is funded by The Gannochy Trust and The Forteviot Charitable Trust.

Spaces are limited, so book your children’s spaces at this fun-filled morning by emailing PKCT’s Discovery, Learning and Engagement Officer at catherine.leatherland@pkct.org.
