Perth to a Hold Emergency Life Support Course this August

Heartstart Discovery will be running four two-hour sessions in emergency life support for members of the pubic this month. One of the session will be taking place in Perth on Saturday, August 27 from 10am until noon.

The course is free of charge and no previous medical experience is required to sign up for the course. Participants will learn how to care for an unconscious person who is breathing and for an unconscious person who is not breathing, they will learn how to perform CPR, gain an awareness of defibrillators and learn how to recognise the signs and symptoms of a heart attack and what actions to take.

Helen Brady, Heartstart Discovery Co-ordinator said, “We are delighted to be able to offer Heartstart sessions again. Emergency life support skills really do help to save lives so please consider registering for a session today.

“A Heartstart session could prove to be one of the most important training sessions you have ever undertaken. Please come along as you can make a difference. You really can save a life.”

Places are available during August 2022:

Friday 5 August – 2 – 4pm – Montrose

Tuesday 9 August – 10am – 12pm – Dundee

Friday 26 August – 12pm – 2pm – Arbroath

Saturday 27 August – 10am – 12pm – Perth

Training sessions can also be arranged on request for groups, organisations and clubs.
