Perth Winter Festival to End With Magical Weekend

This weekend will see the Perth Winter Festival come to an end with a weekend of fun and events in a final celebration before Christmas.

The weekend will see the Saturday start with Perth 5K Santa Dash, Musical Acts, Magicians, a Puppet Theatre and storytelling, arts and crafts, all closing out with a lantern parade led by the Perth and District Pipe Band. Sunday sees more live music and dancing, with the Fair City Wrestlers also entertaining the crowds.

Depute Provost Andrew Parrott said: “I’m delighted to start our Santa’s 5k run, many of whom are raising money for charities in beautiful Perth and wish them all good luck!”

“Perth promises to be a weekend full of magic. It has been fantastic to see the support from locals and visitors to our city for these events and demonstrates the slogan, #PerthWhereChristmasIsMade is true. When times are tough for everyone, it’s heart-warming to see people still take part in fundraising events, showing the true spirit of Christmas is still well and truly alive in Perth and Kinross”

Edinburgh Magical Festival will be welcoming magical acts to our Horsecross Plaza Stage, Mill Street, Perth from 12 noon until 5pm, with spellbinding performances include Kevin Quantum, who was trained by the famous magicians, Penn and Teller, our own Scottish magic champion Woody the Magician, Chris Dinwoodie and many more.
