Further school closures will take place next week as part of targeted action called by teaching unions as part of the national dispute over pay, with schools in Highland Perthshire widely affected.
A new offer was put forward to the EIS yesterday by the Scottish Government and COSLA, with the offer unanimously rejected by the EIS Salaries Committee in a special meeting, meaning the strike action will continue as planned.
The latest round of strikes is targeting the constituencies of the First Minister, Deputy First Minister, Cabinet Secretary of Education and COSLA Resources Spokesperson Cllr Katie Hagmann.
To allow parents and carers to plan ahead, Perth & Kinross Council has confirmed which schools will be closed on the 22nd, 23rd and 24th of February 2023 as a result of the targeted action. All schools not included on this list are expected to remain open.
