Scotland in LGT World Curling Championship

Local interest in LGT World Women’s Curling Championship as Perthshire born Eve Muirhead skips the Scotland team.

The competition which begins of April 30th and will run through to May 9th was moved to Calgary from original host city Schaffhausen in Switzerland because of the pandemic.

Eve Muirhead who trained in Pitlochry before the ring was demolished, will skip a team made up made up of Vice-Skip Victoria Wright, Jennifer Dodds, Lauren Gray, and alternate Sophie Sinclair.  

Team Muirhead will look to improve on their result in the Humpty’s Champions Cup, which saw them finish 4th in their pool and loose out to Japan in the Tiebreakers.

Scotland’s first match will be at 9am (4pm BST) on the 30th as the play the United States with a full list of fixtures available here
