PKAVS will be holding a second get together for Homes for Ukraine Sponsors at The Gateway in North Methven Perth on Thursday 11th of August from 7pm until 8:30pm.
The get together is a casual evening for host families to meet with others who are hosting Ukrainian refugees in Perth and Kinross, to meet share their experiences, and build connections to take forward in the journey.
PKAVS will be joined by Councillor Steven Carr, the elected member for the Strathallan Ward and the Chair of the Dnipro Kids charity, who will be attending the meeting to talk about his experiences.
Speaking about the get together Cllr Carr said: “It’s very important that the Ukrainian families coming to Scotland are made to feel as welcome as possible, and the PKAVS get together is an excellent way of doing this. It allows that families to meet each other to create friendships, to support each other through these difficult times, and it also lets them see that Perth and Kinross is here to support and help them as well.”
The event is for existing Homes for Ukraine families anyone who is interested in becoming a sponsor should visit the UK Government website.
