LISTEN: Gemma Montrose describes the upcoming traffic management on the A9
Work continues on the A9 this week with overnight, two-way, traffic lights on the Bankfoot South junction which will be directing traffic.
From Wednesday 30 September at 8:30 PM until 6:00 AM Thursday 1 October, Transport Scotland will be operating these lights on the Bankfoot South junction.
Project sponsor for the A9 works, Gemma Montrose, said: “This is to allow us to take preparatory works to the central reserve at Bankfoot South junction.”
Ms Montrose continued: “We’ll be putting them in place on at half past eight, as usual, and removing them at 6 AM in the morning.”
Transport Scotland says that these lights will be running overnight to reduce the disruption to traffic on the road.
Ms Montrose added: “I would just ask road users to take care on approach to our works, obviously following all traffic signs and diversion signs where you’re using them and stay safe through the work.”
