
NHS Tayside will be running another Winter Covid and Flu Vaccination drop-in clinic in the Pitlochry Town Hall this Friday, 4th November from 10am until 4pm.
The drop-in is for those over 65 to receive their Winter Flu and Covid booster, with the drop-in also open to Health and Social Care staff. A daily drop-in will also be run at the Perth Central Vaccination Clinic on St John Street, Monday to Saturday from 10am till 4pm.
Currently anyone aged over the age of 50 can book their winter vaccinations via the NHS inform website, which will allow them to select or reschedule appointments, to a time which suits them.
The Flu vaccination is also being offed to all eligible children, which is all children six months and over with an eligible health condition, those aged two to five who are not yet at school (children must be aged two or above on the 1st of September 2022 to be eligible), all primary school children (P1 to P7) and all secondary school pupils (S1 to S6).
Those aged two to five (not yet in school) and those six months and above with an eligible health condition will be offered the vaccine in community clinics, while all primary and secondary pupils, including those with an eligible health condition, will be given the vaccine in school, with a consent letter sent out beforehand. All children over the age of two will be given the vaccine as a nasal spray.
