WRAP Wellness Training Workshop to be Held in Dunkeld

The Care and Wellbeing Collective will have received funding to run several WRAP Wellness Training Workshops around Perthshire until July 2023, starting in Dunkeld next month.

The free, two day training course, will be running on the 8th and 9th of December at the Community Co-working space from 9am until 5pm, and is a practical training with accessible and practical information and tools to help people with their mental health.

WRAP (The Wellness Recovery Action Plan) is a personalised wellness and recovery programme born out of and rooted in the principles of self-determination, with research showing it helps people to:

  • Decrease and prevent intrusive or troubling feelings and behaviours
  • Increase personal empowerment
  • Improve quality of life; and
  • Achieve their own life goals and dreams.

Using the WRAP approach can help individuals to monitor uncomfortable or distressing feelings and behaviours and through planned responses, reduce, modify or eliminate those feeling, while building systems of support in their lives.

Anyone interested in signing up to the event can do so by visiting https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/wrap-training-tickets-465655276467 or emailing Hayley Gardiner at hayleygardiner@growbiz.co.uk
