Perth Racecourse Further increase Capacity for July Fixtures

Perth Racecourse have been granted approval to welcome back racegoers t small-scale racedays for all July Fixtures starting from July 1st.

Included in these tickets for the first time since September 2019 are a limited number of Grandstand Enclosure tickers.

Perth Racecourse CEO Hazel Peplinski said: “We are continuing to work closely with our Safety Advisory Group through this transitionary phase of bringing back spectators as safely as possible. Those that attended on Saturday so appreciated being back to see the horses in the flesh and the new Car Bubbles went down well, with racegoers feeling particularly safe in their own dedicated trackside car space in the fresh outdoors. The experience is obviously not yet back to normal, but it is a small step forward.”

Following their successful introduction for last Saturdays BRAW! Raceday, the Park & Picnic Bubble tickets shall also continue to be available for the July fixtures, allowing car access to the racecourse picnic area for racegoers and their family or friend bubble. With viewing of live jump racing available from both from trackside and via a big screen, and the inclusion of Grandstand Enclosure tickets marks the latest phase of crowds returning to the racing.

Crowds at Perth’s four July fixtures will come from Grandstand Enclosure, Park & Picnic Bubble, Galileo Restaurant, Annual Members and Owners & Trainers–each zone is segregated accordingly to minimise mixing amongst racegoers for Track and Trace purposes.

As the racecourse management has maximised the current permitted capacities to allow as many racing fans back to enjoy the last sport as possible it is keen to capitalise on the open-air nature of its offering at this time. All in attendance will be provided with clear instructions and information in advance of each raceday, be expected to follow Government guidelines and Covid protocols on the day and are reminded that turning up without a ticket shall result in non-admission.
