New Children's Activity Centre to Open in Perth
Perth & Kinross Council is to open a new Children’s Activity Centre (CAC) at Tulloch Primary School in Perth.
The centre is being opened next week in response to growing demand from key workers involved in the response to Coronavirus (COVID-19) for childcare places in Perth.
The CAC will operate in addition to the facility already in operation at North Inch Community Campus.
Operating two sites in Perth will ensure quality childcare and infection control.
Perth & Kinross Council currently operates CACs at North Inch Campus, Kinross Primary School, Community School of Auchterarder, Newhill Campus, Blairgowrie and Invergowrie Primary School. A CAC at Breadalbane Community Campus in Aberfeldy is also available.
Five Activity Centres were originally opened in areas of high demand identified by a Perth & Kinross Council survey.
Applications from key workers continue to be accepted and new CACs are created when demand for places makes a Childcare Centre viable.
Partner provider nurseries and childminders are also providing childcare.
Applications for childcare places can be made via the Perth & Kinross Council website atwww.pkc.gov.uk/article/21628/Coronavirus-Schools-children-and-families
A full list of eligible key workers is also available on the website.
